Imagine 3 year olds sitting chained to a rug machine, working hard. I bet that wasn't how you spent your day when you were that age. Or ever in your life.
Kids as young as 3 and old as 17, are working for about 12 hours a day. They have no choice. No matter the conditions, they have to work to survive, to help their family, because they are forced to. Child labor is common in places like Pakistan. People force children into terrible things. Iqbal Masih was sold at age 4 for 12 American dollars to a rug business. He escaped and spoke out, persuading people to free the children. He wanted to help the children still in slavery. Unfortunately, he was shot and killed at the age of 12. After his death, kids started an organization called" Schools for Iqbal", they made schools for kids in India.
